Resumen:
The presence of histamine (Hi) receptors has been demonstratedin different cell lines and human neoplasias and manystudies have suggested that Hi can regulate cell growth via H1and H2 receptors . We have demonstrated in an experimentalmammary carcinoma that Hi is produced by tumorcells and exerts its action as an autocrine growth factorthrough H1 and H2 membrane receptors . In this work weinvestigated the metabolic signalling pathways coupled to H1and H2 histamine receptors in the human cell line, Panc-I andthe possible role of histamine in the regulation of cell growth.
