Histamine receptors in human mammary gland, different benign lesions and mammary carcinomas.

Resumen:
We have reported the presence of a growth regulatory mechanism controlled by histamine in experimental mammary carcinomas chemically induced in rats . Inthese tumors, treatment with H2 antagonists results in a significant inhibition of growth and development . We have also previously reported the presence of histamine H1 and H2 specific binding sites in biopsies from human mammary carcinomas . The aim of the present workwas to determine the presence of functional histamine receptors in different benign lesions and in malignant carcinomas of the human mammary gland.
