Resumen:
The characteristic temperature of the solar corona is hotter than that of the photosphere. The causes for such heating are of a magnetic natureand several possible mechanisms have been proposed. Most studies oncoronal heating focus on active regions, but the so called quiet sun, ordiffuse corona, is also subject to heating phenomena. By combiningdifferential emission measure tomography applied to EUV (ExtremeUltraviolet) images time series, with potential extrapolations of thecoronal magnetic field, it is possible to estimate the radiative lossenergy along coronal loops of the diffuse corona, and the energy flux attheir foot-points that is required to maintain thermodynamically stablestructures. In this work we show the first results of this technique.
