Resumen:
The effect of the synthesis variables by urea matrix combustion (CCMU) of Ni(1.5%)/Co(4.5%) catalysts on -Al2O3 to obtain H2 by aqueous phase reforming (APR) of glycerol was studied. Ni and Co nitrates were coimpregnated with different amounts of urea on the support, dried and calcined at different heating rates. The samples were characterized by N2 sortometry, CO chemisorption and reduction at programmed temperature. APR of glycerol (10%) in water was carried out, with 0.5 g of catalyst reduced at 773 K, at 298 K, 22 bar and WHSV: 0.25 h-1. Production and selectivity to H2, stability and deposition of coke by oxidation at programmed temperature (TPO) were analyzed. Catalysts with a stoichiometric quantity (1:1) of urea with respect to the metal charge, show a higher yield to H2 and metallic dispersion with respect to those prepared with excess fuel. Calcining at 5 K.min-1 allows obtaining more dispersed and separated Co and Ni. Increasing the heating to 10 K.min-1 increases the formation of the Ni-Co alloy, causing a decrease in performance. The UEst-R5 catalyst exhibits better H2 performance with high selectivity, low methane formation, and acceptable coke deactivation in the glycerol APR.
