Selective sorbents are used in mixtures of liquids to extract only some of them. In this work, light weighted sorbents were produced by the combination of a porous polypropylene membrane treated in a radio-frequency plasma reactor and various polymeric fills. A submersion test was performed to characterize the sorbents, which consist in their submersion in the liquid and a posterior draining by gravity. A maximum adsorbance of 50 was achieved for a fill density of 4.7 kg/m3, dropping with increasing values
