Resumen:
While there are more than 35,000 species of arachnids, the information regarding the lipid transport system is very limited, have been described high and very high density lipoprotein (HDL and VHDL) in only three species, Eurypelma californicum, Latrodectus mirabilis and Polybetes pythagoricus with phospholipids (PC), diglycerides (DAG) and triglycerides (TAG) as the predominant lipids. In two of these species, we found that in addition to its role hemocyanin as respiratory pigment, is involved in lipid transport. In this paper we identify and isolate hemolynphatic lipoproteins of the tarantula Grammostola rosea, and we perform a characterization of their protein components, lipids and fatty acids.
