Consistency Maintenance of Plausible Belief Bases Based on Agents Credibility

In this work we address the problem of knowledge representationin a collaborative multi-agent system where agents canobtain new information from others through communication.Informant agents will be ranked by their credibility. Thiscredibility order will be used when new incoming informationis contradictory with the current agent’s belief base. Wepropose a method for analyzing the received information, ifinconsistency arises, the credibility order will be used to decidewhich information prevails. The proposed operator satisfiesthe minimal change principle and incoming informationcan be rejected when the agent has more credible beliefs thatcontradict the new information.
