Resumen:
Trout can change the species composition of native fish species and invertebrate communities. We present here our concern about trout introduction in Andean regions of South America because externalities are not considered. Politicians and technicians are seldom interested in biogeography, biological conservation, etc. problems caused by salmonids in South America. By that we present some ideas about replacement of trout interests by other alternatives among native species.
