Resumen:
In this work, several polypropylene polymers were subjected to different stress states in order to find an appropriate criterion which predicts their failure limits by yielding under multiaxial loading conditions. It was showed that two single tests are not enough to predict yielding of propylene polymers. It was found that at least three test configurations are needed to predict yielding of propylene polymers. The maximum shear stress and the octahedral shear stress criteria did not give any dramatically difference in prediction of yield behaviour under combined stress states in the studied polymers.
