Resumen:
~iobacillus ferrooxidans attachment on Mo~ andMo dissolution are increased by the addition of thetensioactive agent Tween 80 in absence of iron(II), whichsuggests that the poor bioleaching of Mo~ is caused by itshydrophobic character. Additionally, inhibition of~iobaoillus ferrooxidans growth by the presence of MoO4and the effect of variable amounts of Tween 80 on bacteriagrowth and on MoSz bioleaching are considered in this paper.Data confirm the need of bacterial attachment to insolublesubstrate for bioleaching by the direct mechanism.
