Resumen:
In the first months of the year 1781, an indigenous and mestizo rebellion took place on the border of the Chaco of the city of Jujuy (government of Salta of the Tucuman region, viceroyalty Rio de la Plata), in consonance with the rebellion of Tupac Amaru in Peru. This article identifies the social actors, the native origin, the local residence, the occupations and labour categories as well as the arms used during the two months of the movement. The objective is to determine the level of diversity and the established categories of social and labour distinction.
