Resumen:
The design of a switching power supply (Buck DC-DC converter) with regulated outputvoltage for a wide range.of curren~ consumption is considered. The control objective is to regulatethe output voltage despite the existence of current load variations with bounded time derivative.The th:oreth~c approach to the controller design is based on variable structure control techniques.As .an Inmediate consequence of the selected theoretical approach, a continuous time controller isdesigned. As the system control input is a binary switch, a PWM approach is used to overcomethis practical limitation. Laboratory experiences are performed to obtain conclusions about the realperformance of the proposed controller.
