Resumen:
Helminth infections are capable of activating multimeric protein complexes calledinflammasomes. In this forum we summarize the main effects of the NLRP3inflammasome activation, such as control of excessive Th2 response orimmunopathology induction. These mechanisms would ensure the survival of both, thehost and the parasite.
