    Many compounds of natural origin affect insect behaviour and physiology with different modes of action. These compounds could be used for protection of crops in order to increase their yields and consequently the provision of food stuff..       This chapter describes various entomological methods that can be used to evaluate the primary or secondary effects of plant allelochemicals on insect feeding behaviour, development and survival.
