Resumen:
Color for architects is part of a venerable tradition ofbooks on the theory, history, and practice of color inarchitecture. In this context, Juan Serra´s book is almostunique as a comprehensive manual that encompasses allthe relevant issues, and thus constitutes an unavoidablesource that presents the most up-to-date and completeoverview that can be asked for nowadays. It even carriesout the much-needed work of building bridges of knowledgefrom the developments of color science in the fieldof psychophysics, colorimetry, vision, and color technologyto the conceptualizations and applications that architectsand designers are used to handling. In this sense, anapproach is made to the specific terminology, systems, variables, and units for the measurement and descriptionof color, putting this baggage of knowledge within thereach of practitioners of design disciplines.
