Resumen:
Mixtures of elemental constituents with nominal compositions Fe75Ge25 were mechanically alloyed in a horizontal oscillatory ball mill under Ar atmosphere. The alloying reaction was studied by 57Fe Mössbauer effect spectroscopy and CuKa- X-Ray diffractometry. The evolution of the system can be describes in terms of two processes, for t<4h, the diffusion of Ge into bcc-Fe leads to a dilute solid solution Fe1-xGex and to the formation of a paramagnetic phase. For t>44 a random, supersaturated bcc-Fe75Ge25 solid solution forms. Between 4h and 20h the Mössbauer spectra remain in a pseudo stationary state and the grain size at about 7 nm. Finally, for t= 30h the system amorphizes.
