Resumen:
In the middle of the 20th century, the Communist Party of Argentina was the political force that sought to generate a rural mass movement, leading the trade union and agricultural producers’ organizations, which would act in a “democratic, anti-oligarchic and anti-imperialist front” with other social actors to achieve a profound agrarian reform and other specific rights. This article reconstructs that action in the period 1958-1962, linking it with the agrarian policies of the government of Arturo Frondizi, harmful to these sectors, using various sources generated by the mentioned actors.
