Resumen:
This work presents a methodological proposal of a fieldwork developed in a shellmiddens in Tierra del Fuego (Argentina) during last southern summer (December 2005). It has been carried out within the framework of a bigger research project, which has got, as its main objective, a basic research on archaeological record variability. Following this, we propose to recognize whether there are different dynamics between what has been traditionally excavated (that is, the interior of the dwelling), and outer part that has been recently excavated. In this sense, it is important to carry out global excavations, developing methodologies to integrate areas of the sites. The ethnoarchaeological approach of the research carried out in the Beagle Channel has allowed us to address the archaeological enquiry as well as the methods to be used in order to analyze this variability in and around the dwelling.
