Energy Efficiency of Street Lighting in the Municipality of Villa Mercedes, San Luis

In this descriptive work, secondary information from the sub-secretariat of Control and Execution of Public Works of the Municipality of Villa Mercedes is analyzed in the period 2017 to 2019, the use of new technologies is proposed to mitigate the consumption of public lighting (AP). The datacollection technique was documentary since the documentary review and analysis of the reports presented was carried out. As results, the actions and improvements related to the PA carriedout during the 2018-2019 period are presented. The first results of the replacement by LED luminaires show that a reduction of more than 35% was achieved in a main avenue of the city. An economic analysis is proposed to improve in the period 2020-2025.
