Resumen:
Perhaps the quickest way to find a drug for a new disease is to look for one within the drugs already approved for use in other diseases. This is called drug repositioning.Cell viability assays are very useful for quickly identifying active drugs, but they do not provide us with information on the target where the drug would be acting. There are several mass assays of approved drugs that use whole Sars-cov-2 virus as the infectious agent and the infection is tested in different types of cell lines.By analyzing these data we identified about 150 molecules that are active in at least two of the assays and set out to identify their drug target using the inverse docking technique.
