Resumen:
One of the most attractives inorganic membranes for gas separation processes are carbon membranes [1]. They have gained great interest owing to its following adventages: higher permselectivity; superior stability at high temperature, the pore dimension and distribution can be adjusted by simple termochemical treatment; superior adsorptivity for some specific gases. However, carbon membranes are very brittle. Therefore, it requires more careful handling. This may be avoided to a certain degree by optimizing precursors and preparation methods [2]. In the present work, a new preparation method of carbon membranes with a coverage of cosslinked PVC is shown. The influence of cosslinking agent on PVC coverage is studied. The mechanism of the gas transport on the membranes is analysed.
