Resumen:
A simple model to study the effect of on top coadsorption of anions in underpotential deposition is formulated. It considers a lattice- gas model with pair potential interactions between nearest neighbors. As test system, the electro deposition of silver on gold is studied by means of grand canonical Monte Carlo simulations. The influence of anions on the adsorption isotherms is analyzed. It is found that as the interaction between silver atoms and anions in creases, the monolayer adsorbs at more negative chemical potentials. For large interactions between silver atoms and anions, a expanded structure occurs for the silver monolayer.
