Resumen:
Dendrimers are synthetic polymers that grow in three dimensions into a well defined structure. Their morphological appearance resembles a certain number of trees connected by a common point.Dendritic nanoparticles have been studied for a wide range of pharmaceutical and biomedical applications such as gene transfection, drug delivery, clinical diagnosis, magnetic resonance imaging.Although the application of dendrimers is still in its infancy compared to liposomes and other nanomaterials, they are already playing a key role with several therapeutic, with dendrimer-based products in clinical trials. The aim of this review is to describe the state-of-the-art of biomedical applications of dendrimers and CNTs-dendrimers conjugates such as drug delivery, gen delivery and antiviral activity per se.
