Resumen:
ABSTRACfThe effect of solvent injeetion on the area and peak-height responses of some drugs (etgotamine tattrate, astemizole, terfenadine, bromhexine hydroehloride, eaffeine, ambroxol hydroehloride, phenylephrine hydroehloride, enalapril maleate and betamethasone) was evaluated. Reversed-phase chromatographic systems were employed and loops of different sizes and various overfill volumes were assayed. When injection salvents weaker than the mobile phases were used, signjfieant variation in !he area responses was observed for astenrizole, bromhexine, ergotamine and terfenadine. Adsorption on !he intemal´ surface of !he injeetion loops produced tbis anomalous behaviour depending 00 !he ehemical nature of the analyte injected.
