Resumen:
The aim of this chapter is to analyze the experience of Metallurgical and Plastic Industries of Argentina (IMPA), one of the first recovered factories in the city of Buenos Aires at the end of the 20th century. IMPA?s transition reflects a deeper social process in which portions of society self-organize to generate new practices of solidarity for confronting the consequences of an economic depression whose complex roots can be linked to two decades of neoliberalization of economic and social policies.
