Resumen:
Mycorrhizas are one of the most important andecologically crucial symbiosis for boreal, temperate, subtropical and tropicalforest, driving plant population biology and community ecology shaping theirdispersal and establishment, regulating plant coexistence. Forestfragmentation, clear cutting, fires, grazing, and partial conversion to exoticplantations are affecting temperate forests of southern South America at anincreasing rate. It is estimated that about 50% of the native Patagonian forestis degraded by anthropic actions. This chapter offers a review of the currentknowledge about those impact on mycorrhizal associations and the ways toimplement mitigation measures
