Resumen:
The new genus Pehuencoris is described to include P. gurguliophagus sp. n. from southern Argentina and Chile (Patagonia). The dorsal habitus and male genitalia are illustrated, and a distributional map is given. A complete description of ostiolar peritreme and its microsculpture is given. Comments about biology and habits are included and relationships with other Cardiastethini genera are discussed.
