Carvalhocapsus new remplacement name for Carvalhocoris CARPINTERO & CHÉROT, 2002 nec LESTON, 1953 (Heteroptera, Miridae, Mirinae, Mirini)

The monotypic new mirine genus Carvalhocoris was proposed by CARPINTERO & CHÉROT (2002: 40-41) to accommodate C. scutellosum (type species by original designation), a new species described from Argentina (La Pampa, Rio Colorado and San Antonio Oeste, Rio Negro). We recently discovered that the genus-group name Carvalhocoris CARPINTERO & CHÉROT, 2002 is a junior homonym, being preoccupied by Carvalhocoris LESTON, 1953 (p. 46), a valid name of a Pentatomidae monotypic genus from the Cape Province, South Africa (type species by original designation: Carvalhocoris nigra LESTON, 1953). Consequently, we propose the new replacement name Carvalhocapsus (nomen novum) for Carvalhocoris CARPINTERO & CHÉROT, 2002 [nec Carvalhocoris LESTON, 1953] and the new combination Carvalhocapsus scutellosus (CARPINTERO & CHÉROT, 2002) (new combination).
