Resumen:
In this work we identified At2g17740 as a DC1-domainproteinpresent in the endomembrane system that is essential for bothfemaleand male gametophyte early development inArabidopsis thaliana. At2g17740 was originally annotated as agene encoding a DC1-domainprotein with unknown function.As no homozygous mutant plants could be identified, we showin hemizygous insertionalmutant lines that nearly half of themale and female gametophytes arrest after meiosis.
