Resumen:
Albendazole (ABZ) currently used chemoteraputic teatment of cystic hydatid disease, is usually formulated as a suspension. The aim of this work is to study the ultrastructural alterations produced in vivo by a ABZ-ciclodextrin solution on Echinooccus granulosus cysts using scanning and transmission electron microscopes (SEM  and TEM). BalbC mice were intraperitoneally infected with protoscoleces. A year afeter infection mice were divided in two groups: 1) Control: unteated and 2) orally treated with ABZ-ciclodextrin solution 50 uM for 50 days. Afeter treatment animals were eutanuzid and the cysts were weigthed and subjeted to ultrastructural study. No significant differences between control and treated group was found related to the weight of cysts masses. All  cysts  emoved from control mice appeared turgid and no alterations in ultrastucture was detected. Cysts from the terated group revealed at TEM alteration in the germinal layer with the presence of numerous vacuoles. Al SEM, only cellular debris of germinal layer was observed.
