Resumen:
ERDA (elastic recoil detection analysis) is an ion beam analysis technique that consists in detecting recoiling nuclei to acquire information about a target. In DE-E ERDA spectrometry a beam of mono-energetic ions is directed to the surface of the target and the recoils emerging at a given angle are detected with the association of a gas ionization chamber DE and a silicon surface barrier detector E. From the values of E the recoil depth (up to 1 mm) can be determined and from DE measurements the atomic number is obtained. In this work a Monte Carlo (MC) code was implemented as a Fortran program, which simulates fast and easily DE-E ERDA spectra of different sample compositions and experimental set ups.
