Resumen:
The propagation of a laser through turbulent media is modeled as a fractional Brownian motion (fBm). Time series corresponding to the center position of the laser (coordinates x and y) after traveling across air in turbulent motion, with different strength, are analyzed by the wavelet theory. Hurst exponents obtained are compared with wavelet entropy values. In the present work is verified that both quantifiers (Hurst exponent and wavelet entropy) describe the degree of order/disorder associated with the system. Within this framework, the wavelet entropy seems to distinguish the different level of turbulence for both coordinates.
