Resumen:
Mercury concentrations of the principal components of lacustrine food webs of Northern Patagonia environments are reported. The organisms studied in Lake Moreno are benthic primary producers such as biofilm, mosses, and macrophytes, three plankton fractions, benthic macroinvertebrates, fish, and riparian tree leaves. Mercury contents in muscle of four fish species occupying the higher trophic levels in these aquatic systems are also reported for eight lakes belonging to the Northern Patagonia.
