Resumen:
We describe a method for obtaining tight quadratic Lyapunov function-based convergence rate estimates for switching converters. This method can be applied to switching converters having a periodic sequence of active modes, as is the case for most switching converters (e.g. Buck, Boost, Cuk, Z-Source, semi-quasi-Z-source), even if the duration times of each mode do not form a periodic sequence (i.e. PWM duty cycle is not constant). We alsocompare this results with convergence rate estimates obtained via standard quadratic Lyapunov function analysis and LMI search. Application of the method is illustrated on a numerical example for the semi-quasi-Z-source converter.
