Resumen:
The appearance of atomic squeezing in a system of three-level atomsplaced in a two-mode cavity, is analyzed. The effects of effectivedipole-dipole interactions between atoms are discussed. It isfound that these interactions washed-out the squeezing, while theincrease in the mean number of photons, of the initial coherent state,moderates this effect significatively.
