In this work we analyze the validity of recently proposedextensions of the Quasiparticle Random Phase Approximation (QRPA).Particularly, we focus our attention on the Fully RenormalizedQRPA (FRQRPA). We found that the results of this approximation donot differ from the results of the QRPA. This finding is supportedby a detailed comparison between both formalisms, theirassumptions and approximations, in the context of realisticcalculations.
