Non Standard q-deformed realizations of the harmonic oscillator

The boson expansion method is applied to find the spectrum of aq-deformed harmonic oscillator. We use two different bosonexpansions, each of them including a deformation parameter,defined in terms of exponential and logarithmic functionals. Theresulting Hamiltonians are bilinear forms of the transformedoperators. Physical effects due to the deformation of the generatorsof the algebra are studied by comparing knownfinite range potentials and the effective potentials obtained for eachof the considered Hamiltonians.
