One new Pontonema species from Chubut province is described and the description of the male of the species Pontonema incisum Wieser, 1953 from Chubut and Santa Cruz provinces are added. Pontonema golfonuevensis sp. nov. is characterized by having the sub-ventral teeth mildly long and slender located at 24 per cent of stoma, the dorsal tooth, short and thick, at 60 per cent of stoma and by the excretory pore in the base of the buccal cavity and by the presence of one ventral precloacal sensory field with seven pairs of papilliform sensilla and seven setae. Pontonema incisum Wieser, 1953 characterized by having the sub-ventral teeth long and slender located at 36 per cent of stoma, the dorsal tooth, short and thick, at 72 per cent of stoma, by the excretory pore a two buccal cavity lengths from anterior end and by the presence of one ventral precloacal sensory field with twelve or fourteen pairs of papilliform sensilla and twelve to fourteen tiny setae.
