This paper aims at summarising the current results of both archaeological and paleontological research carried out in the site of Peñas de las Trampas 1.1 (PT1.1), a rockshelter located at 3582 m asl in Antofagasta de la Sierra (Catamarca province), in the Argentine South Puna. This site yields a peculiar concentration of stratified materials covering three contextually different moments ranging from ca. 19,600 to 8000 BP.
