The contribution of Pascual-Garrido and Almeida-Warrenis paradigmatic of how a comparative analysis of plant tools manufactured andused by different chimpanzee groups can distinguish, if conducted with theintellectual and methodological acuity demonstrated by the authors, factorsrelated to cultural preferences learned socially from those dependent onenvironmental constraints.
