Resumen:
Summary Bahía Blanca city is the most important town in the southwest of the Buenos Aires Province, Argentine. The main source of drinking water is the Paso Piedras dam, located about 55 km northeast of the city. The advent of a series of dry years in the whole region led to the lowest historical levels in the water reservoir and created a water crisis that demands immediate solutions. The overall objective of this contribution is to suggest the feasibility of groundwater extraction as an alternative solution to supplement the water supply to Bahia Blanca city.
