Resumen:
ThecompoundLi4Ti5O12(alsoknownasLTO)hasbeeninvestigatedasanodematerialoflithiumionbatteriesforseveralapplicationsasenergystorageforelectricandhybridvehiclesduetoitsexceptionalfeatures[1-3].ThisLTOcompoundhasshownaremarkableLi-ionintercalation/de-intercalationreversibility,demonstratingalsozero-strainvolumechangeduringthecyclingprocess,withtheadditionofanotablesafetyperformance.Furthermore,LTOhasahighvoltageplateauincomparisonwithotheranodematerialcandidates,helpingtoavoidtheformationofmetalliclithium[4].Clearly,adeepknowledgeregardingthebehaviorofthisLTOcompoundisofinterest.Inthiswork,Energy-DispersiveResonantInelasticX-rayScattering(EDIXS)[5]isusedtofulfillthisneed.Inaddition,XANESmeasurementswerecarriedoutascomplementarymethodology.TheresultsshowthatEDIXScandifferentiateLTOchemicalcompounds(lithiatedandde-lithiated)withhighsensitivity,beingareliabletooltoperformchemicalspeciationanalysisonenergystoragematerials.
