Resumen:
Layered Double Hydroxides (LDH) are synthetic anionic clays with a lamellar structure as hydrotalcite of Mg-Al. LDH are precursors of heterogeneous catalysts due their physicochemical properties. Mixed metal oxides obtained by thermal decomposition of LDHs have basic properties. This work shows the synthesis and characterization results of the mixed metal oxides derived from LDH with Li, K and Cs incorporated by the co-precipitation method. Structural analysis of the layered double hydroxides and mixed metal oxides (MMO) were consistent with those of the hydrotalcite and its oxide. All MMO showed basic properties from assigned sites of increasing strength OH-, Mn+-O2- and O2-. Li incorporated oxides showed the highest density of Mn+-O2- sites.
