Resumen:
I appreciate very much and welcome the comments that Delmonte et al. [2008] made on my recent paper. I believe that this exercise of exchanging opinions will improve our knowledge on dust transport to Antarctica. [2] Their main motivation to make such comments is to deduce, based on recent evidence [Gaiero, 2007], the possible source of dust deposited in East Antarctica (EA) during interglacial periods. Although the idea of a main contribution of dust from the Puna-Altiplano plateau (PAP) to EA during interglacial periods seems possible, I wish to respond to some of the comments/conclusions made byDelmonte et al.
