Resumen:
The VISTA Variable in the Vía Láctea (VVV) is a deep photometric survey in five near-IR passbands that allows us to search for extragalactic sources that are obscured by the presence of our Galaxy. The main goal was to develop an algorithm for the detection and classification of extended objects, probable extragalactic sources using a combination of SExtractor and PSFex.The algorithm was tested in several tiles of the VVV survey and the extended sources that have been found are small, circularwith a concentration index of 3 and a Searsic index of 4. These results indicate that the extragalactic objects are early-type galaxies. This is the first step in the project to obtain the distribution of galaxies obscured by the Milky Way.
