This ND is characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons In the midbrain. At the onset and progression of PD Dopaminergic neurons must face, alfa synuclein accumulation and agregration, iron accumulation, oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction, all these insults has been associated with Ferroptosis.When dopaminergirc neurons dye, motor symptoms are the phenotypical characteristic of PD patients.
