Resumen:
Several new genera and species of Apoidea: Apidae and Halictidae are described from the Oligocene of France and Turkey: Oligoapis beskonakensis gen. nov., sp. nov., Paraelectrobombus patriciae gen. nov., sp. nov., Xylocopa celineae subgen. nov., sp. nov. and Lasioglossum celinae sp. nov. The Paleocene taxon Probombus hirsutus Piton, 1940 is transferred into the Megachilidae, and the Oligocene Anthophorini Anthophorites gaudryi Oustalet, 1870 is considered as an Insecta incertae sedis stat. nov. These discoveries supports Engel?s (2001c) hypothesis concerning the high diversity of bees during the Paleogene in Western Europe.
