Resumen:
On the eastern slope of Sierra de Comechingones near Las Caleras, a group of metasediments predominantly composed by calcodolomitic marbles and metapelites, associated with orthogneisses and granitoids, are grouped in three tectonic domains. Marbles and associated gneisses crop out in the uplifted basement wedge of Sierra Blanca, limited by El Saucesito and Viejo Almacén lineaments. A set of antiforms and sinforms dominated by an overturned tight sinform fold with a S3 axial plane oriented N 336º/20º E and an axis N 134º/24º is outlined by marbles. Marbles and gneisses, whose parageneses are Fo + Di + Cal + Dol and Qtz + Pl + Bt + Grt + Sil + Kfs respectively, would have reached granulite facies conditions during the metamorphic peak M2. During this event was developed the main S2 fabric under a strong non-coaxial deformation regime at the ´internal zone´ of an Upper Precambrian collisional orogen.
