Resumen:
Here we present the result of a Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility (AMS) study of a litological section of tertiary age, outcrop in the Tarija Basin, within the geological province of Sierras Subandinas, located in bolivian territory among 22°05? S 64°04? W and 22°06? S 64°02? W. The average of susceptibility of sites is ≈ 21x10-5 SI. Sites with clay, silt and fine sandstones have well defined magnetic fabrics whereas at sites with médium sandstones the fabric tends to be chaotic or with very low internal consistency. Also, it was observed that there is a change in the direction of máximum horizontal stress throughout the evolution of the srtucture. It starts with an ESE-WNW direction and subsequently acquires an ENE-WSW direction.
