The construction of hybrid materials from metal cations and organic multifunctional anions is an area of great activity. Open structures with pores of great size and supramolecular assemblies of varied dimensions can be achieved in this way. The obtained frameworks may display interesting magnetic properties as those found in the title compound and in other Nd(III) adipate hydrates [1] from AC susceptibility measurements as function of T (shown in Fig. 1).
